The Sound of Seven Thunders
YOUNG SLAVEBOY SHAVA wants only to become
a Roman man and Roman soldier—the sooner the better.
He’s unaware of being surrounded by people
with secret and all-consuming claims on his life—
either for his glorious future beyond anything he could imagine,
or to sacrifice his future for their own twisted purposes.
For his mother, Mahrona—who’s forbidden
to have any free contact with her son Shava—
conflict is constant with her captor, Roma’s General Tundus.
As her hopes die for escaping that man’s oppression,
a way finally opens to seal the general’s death.
Meanwhile Tundus, thanks to unintended help from Mahrona,
encounters a breakthrough for pushing to completion
his long-pursued plan for a surprise strike against Parthia,
which he’s convinced will restore Roma to its divinely appointed mission
of seeking world governance, world order, world peace.
But a secret maneuver meant to clinch the Emperor’s approval
for the plan—looks certain instead to destroy it.
-
Can an oppressed woman escape
a foreign nation she’s come to hate—
and restore her son to his thrilling destiny
in a homeland he knows nothing of? -

what cost is too high as he pursues a wild plan
that encompasses all the world?
